Trivia
- Wizards was originally announced to be released by the end of 2019. However, Guillermo Del Toro confirmed on his Twitter accounts that the release has been delayed to August 7th, 2020.[6][3][7]
- This also means that Wizards will be the first (and only) installment to not premiere in December, unlike Trollhunters (which officially premiered on December 23rd, 2016) and 3Below (which premiered on December 21st, 2018).
- According to confirmed music composer, Jeff Danna, Wizards would only have ten episodes.[1][8]
- As explained by Aaron Waltke, the world [in Wizards] is so rich, it could have easily been comprised into four seasons. Ultimately, the crew decided to take a "novelistic" approach, weaving between many storylines to give the audience "a delicious melange of story with all of them building to a shared climax." In addition, with time travel involved, there's a lot they were able to do with hinting that cause and effect could happen out of order.[9]
- According to Aaron Waltke on Twitter, how the rules of fantasy time travel works in the Tales of Arcadia universe is like a river, because with magic involved, anything is possible. Divert it a little, and the heroes can still nudge fate mostly back on course. Divert it too much, however, and they'll cause a deluge (or erase their own future) in the process.[10]
- The television series' revelations about the history and mythology of the Tales of Arcadia universe differs from the books and comics, leaving the publications in a quasi non-canon state similar to the "levels of canon and legends" in the Star Wars universe.
