Nari/Relationships

A list of Nari's relationships with certain characters throughout the franchise.

Family

The Arcane Order

Nari had formerly been a member of the Arcane Order, but she defected after witnessing the destructive methods her siblings used to bring about their perverse and malevolent idea of balance of magic and mortals, and could no longer continue to be a part of causing unnecessary suffering.

She fled from her sadistic siblings and sought Merlin's protection in Camelot. Nari spent the rest of her centuries hiding from Bellroc and Skrael in order to prevent them from ever breaking the Genesis Seals and destroying the world she's grown to love and care for.

Friends/Allies

Merlin

At first, Nari was told by her siblings that Merlin was their enemy.

However, after she sees the error of her ways, she runs away to seek refuge at Camelot, under Merlin's protection. Merlin made it his life's goal to protect Nari from the Order, as they require her to open the Genesis Seals and unleash raw magic upon the world. Nari was even willing help Merlin transport Camelot and everyone into the past to escape the Arcane Order's siege.

She was clearly saddened when she felt Merlin's soul leave the Earth, courtesy of the resurrected King Arthur.

Morgana

As revealed in "Witch Hunt", Nari first meet Morgana (along with Guinevere) when she was a kid. Years later, Nari is the one who revived Morgana from her first death and gave her a green prosthetic left hand.

After Morgana sees the error of her ways, due to reflecting on her past actions in the Shadow Realm, the redeemed witch tries to help the Guardians of Arcadia protect Nari from the Arcane Order, even sacrificing herself to kill their enforcer (who happened to be Morgana's undead brother, Arthur himself).

Douxie Casperan

Not much is known about their relationship, but they seem to regard each other as allies.

After Merlin, Morgana, and Arthur's demises, Douxie made it his mission to keep Nari safe after learning what the Arcade Order planned to do with her, and took her to New York City with him in order to avoid them.

Claire Nunez

Not much is known about their relationship, but they seem to regard each other as allies. When Claire asked whether she could find Jim Lake Jr.'s soul on Earth, she was saddened to tell Claire that she was unable to find him anywhere on the planet (though Claire theorized that it was because Jim's soul was trapped in another dimension, the Shadow Realm, which turned out to be a fact all along).

Jim Lake Jr.

Although Nari and Jim have little-to-no interactions whatsoever, Nari sees Jim as a valuable ally in their cause against the Arcane Order's genocidal ambitions. When Jim's injury worsens with the shard crawling its way into his heart, Nari was clearly distraught and worried for his well-being.

After Jim regains his humanity and human form, Nari was overjoyed that Merlin's former champion is alive and well once again.

Toby Domzalski

Not much is known about their relationship, but they regard each other as allies. She naïvely found wonder and amazement in Toby's simple magic tricks, regarding them as 'godly powers'.

Steve Palchuk

Not much is known about their relationship, but they regard each other as allies. When Nari was saddened by the thought of burdening her allies, Steve cheered her up by promising to protect her as a self-proclaimed "Knight of Arcadia".

Enemies

King Arthur/The Green Knight

In the past, Nari despised and somewhat feared Arthur's prejudice when he used a knife to barbarically shooed her away from Morgana and Gwen as kids while calling her a "demon", even though she was just wanting to play with them.

When she discovers that her siblings resurrected Arthur as the Green Knight, she finds this act deplorable as he's no longer the Arthur who tried to find redemption, but rather follow the Arcane Order's goal to wipe out humanity and magic to remake the world as his own.
