Maces and Talons is an one time seen in-universe game in Trollhunters. The game originates from How to Train Your Dragon's Race to the Edge.
Purpose[]
During the age of the Vikings, the game was designed to test the abilities and decision-making expertise of future chiefs in the heat of battle. Now the original purpose of the game has been lost to time. Blinky thought Maces and Talons was nothing more than a board game for fun.
