Trollhunter answers every call.
―Hunter Jim's first words when he comes to existance in "Hero with a Thousand Faces"

Hunter Jim is a one-shot antagonist featured in the Part Two episode of Trollhunters, "Hero with a Thousand Faces".

He is the clone aspect of Jim's Trollhunting personality.

History

Trollhunters (Part Two)

Physical Appearance

Hunter Jim looks exactly like the original Jim, only he wears a green jacket.

Personality

Hunter Jim is the Trollhunting aspect of Jim's personality: brave, tough, determined, firm, cunning, cautious, well-intentioned, gloating, and very ruthless. He has tendencies of talking much like a bold soldier and performing unnecessary ninja stances/moves, even when he's completely in the clear. He also acts more troll than the original Jim. As described by the real Jim, Hunter Jim is also quite clever as shown when he creates more clones of Jim as a distraction.

He openly shows disgust towards human affairs, especially love, as he's more focused on keeping the troll magics a secret from the world. Although indirectly influenced by Romantic Jim, he proclaims to himself that the real Jim is "too weak" to wield the mantle of Trollhunter since he believes that his care and compassion could one day fail Trollmarket. As such, he decides to take Jim's place as Trollhunter and tries to entrap the real Jim and the other clones into the Sword of Daylight so he could protect Arcadia and Trollmarket his own way. Blinded by the sight of his ideal "toughness", Hunter Jim is later confined by the other clones and absorbed back into the Amulet of Daylight by the original Jim.

Before being reabsorbed, as his Trollhunting part, Hunter Jim knows most (if not all) of Jim's fears, as he deeply believes that he released Gunmar into the real world. Also, he claims to the real Jim that the day will soon come when he'll realize that he can't balance both his normal and Trollhunting lives, so he foreshadows that one day, he would have to chose.
